The August Group will be hosting "Connecting Rochester: an Evening of Wine and Mingling" to benefit Warrior Salute on June 18, 5:30-8:30 pm at Nazareth College Arts Center, 4245 East Ave, Rochester, in the town of Pittsford. The event is $20 per person with all proceeds going to Warrior Salute. Wines will be provided by Lost Vineyards. The idea for this event came about as a way to utilize the business networking atmosphere of Rochester while giving back to the community.

Warrior Salute is a service of CDS Monarch that works with male and female veterans with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), and Military Sexual Trauma through rehabilitation, employment programs, and housing assistance. They work one-on-one to create tailored plans that meet the personal needs of veterans, and also operate Nucor House, a 24/7 support residence. Their ultimate goal is to assist veterans who are transitioning back into civilian life. Learn more about Warrior Salute and the services they provide at http://www.cdswarriorsalute.org.
